ALTO OLEICO CRUDE PALM OIL

Description

It is obtained from the mesocarp of the fruit of the oil palm Alto Oleico (Elaeis guineensis Jacq x Elaeis Oleifera), by mechanical extraction processes. It is characterized by having a high content of olein (around 85%), vitamin A (Carotenes) and vitamin E (Tocopherols and Tocotrienols). It is a vegetable oil naturally free of cholesterol and fats.

Suggested Use

It is recognized as the tropical substitute of olive oil, it has a better nutritional profile than that of African palm, mainly due to a 6% lower saturated acid content. Its high content of mono and polyunsaturated fatty acids help to reduce the levels of low density lipoproteins (bad cholesterol) and balance the levels of high density lipoproteins (good cholesterol).
